The alarm goes off and the routine starts. We roll out of bed to attempt to; brush teeth, fiddle with hair, change clothes, eat breakfast, gather what we need, find the keys, make sure we have the cellphone, and wake up before we leave. Everyday is different, but most of them are very similar. We may not be consistent in our routines, but we attempt to do certain things before we leave the house. Throughout this routine and the drive to our destination, some of us tend to get in a "zone". We get so focused on getting to where we are going, and worrying about what we need to get done that we don't pay attention or take the time to look around in our environment. It's not that we intend not be observant, it just tends to happen. It's the common theme in most of our lives that we don't have enough time or that becoming observant will cause us to be late. Being late is like hell, you get all hot and bothered and everyone else is angry for causing more work or delaying work that has to be finished. We don't like hell therefore some of us try not to be late. What is a few seconds while your in your routine going to cost you? Life is too short not to take that second to look around in your environment and to be aware of your surroundings. I say, soak it all in just like the rays of the sun. Take some breaths for yourself, there is no real need to be tense today!###
